Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name, a case number, or a date of birth into a search box on this site, that entry travels to the outside company that runs the tool. The provider processes the request and returns whatever it holds. We do not keep or log the terms you type on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you write to us, we keep the message so we can answer it. It stays inside our own group. We do not pass it to anyone outside the organization unless the law requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page here loads, the server records a set of technical details about the visit:
- Timestamps for the page views in the session
- The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The browser you used and its version number
- Your device type and operating system
- The referring site, when one sent you here
- The IP address assigned to your connection
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files a site stores on your device. They let us see which pages draw traffic and where visitors tend to leave. Analytics services help us total that information across many visits rather than looking at one. Your browser settings let you block cookies at any time. Blocking them may change how parts of the site behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keep the site running and loading at a reasonable speed
- Route your search request to the right partner service
- See which pages help readers and which ones need work
- Find and fix technical problems
- Display advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, build, or sell a database of warrants or of personal warrant records. What we publish is general guidance about where Waseca County records are held, including Waseca County District Court, the Waseca County Sheriff's Office, and the county offices that handle court paperwork.
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or into records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. Anything you type into one is handled under that company's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who else sees it, and we have no control over those choices. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to court pages, sheriff's office pages, state agencies, and legal resources. Clicking one of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's own privacy policy then governs your visit.
Some advertising partners track activity across sites in order to show targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems rather than ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited set of parties may still encounter some of it:
- Search partners that process a query you submit here
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place advertising on these pages
- Government or law enforcement bodies when a valid legal order compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security measures to protect what we collect. No internet-connected system is entirely safe, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur. We do what we can to limit what is held in the first place, which is the most reliable protection of all.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Records held by Minnesota government offices, including Waseca County offices and the courts, are governed by Minnesota Statutes chapter 13, the state's data practices law. That law applies to those offices rather than to this private site, so requests about a government record belong with the office that keeps it.
For the limited information this site holds, you can ask us to:
- Erase what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Send you a copy of what we have
- Stop certain kinds of processing
